Prima Princessa Presents The Nutcracker DVD Review

The Nutcracker is a yearly tradition at our house. Right around Christmas time we find it on TV and Samantha and I watch it together. When the Prima Princessa Presents the Nutcracker arrived at my house, it took only a few minutes before it was opened. Samantha was glued to the TV but it’s supposed to be a secret, so please don’t tell anyone that she really liked watching a DVD about ballet.

Prima Princess Nutcracker So in order to write this review, I promised her that I’d share the DVD with our friends, Emily and Sara, who are girly girls. They take dancing lessons and love wearing tutus. Their Mom Darlene told me that they really enjoyed the movie. Emily wanted to watch it over and over again, she remembered every characters’ name and what was going to happen after watching it only once. They really liked the part where they were taught some of the dances and would even dance with the kids on the movie.

Perfect for young children and even tweens, Prima Princessa is broken up into short segments of the actual Nutcracker performed by the San Fransisco Ballet and ballet lessons with the cute cartoon character, Prima Princessa.

What a perfect gift for the upcoming holidays! Maybe you’ll be bringing your little one to see the Nutcracker for the first time? Nice way to introduce her to it. Have a ballet party and put out some tutus and dancing outfits and let the children take part with dancing with the sugarplums and fairies. Add the Prima Princessa: Swan Lake and you’ll have so much fun!

    Hey Connie!

My daughters, now grown and raising families, both love the Nutcracker tradition and have been to the real thing with their mother many times. I’ll have to let them know about this DVD.

    Thanks for sharing it.

Our family watches the Nutcracker every holiday season. We go to the theater to see it too, where my daughter tried to get on stage.

That looks so cute – I have one little girl (my 2nd cousin) who I have to buy for during the holidays and this might be just right for her! I so love The Nutcracker – but I can’t get Hubby and Taylor to go see a live performance with me. Maybe I will have to get a group of ladies to go see it this holiday season.

This sounds like fun! ‘Lil Moomette is taking dance lessons now, but I remember taking her to see the stage version during Christmas at the Bushnell Memorial~

Glad your daughter enjoyed it, and hopefully you’ll get to see the stage version!

My daughter received a copy of this DVD and we loved it!

She wears her tutu every time she watches it.

Really good video for little ones in dance or to expose them to dance.
