When you’re online as often as I am and on so many different social media sites like me, you begin to get requests for friends and followers that you know from the past. That’s been happening to me a lot. When I get someone asking to friend me on Facebook or follow me on Twitter I think, who can it be now? Just like the song by Men At Work. Now try to get those lyrics out of your mind!
Even on my blog I find comments or subscribers from old friends from college, high school or even elementary school. I use my maiden name to make it easier for people to find me. I also have found people that I knew back when I sold on eBay.
There are times though that I wonder about who may be searching for me. Thank goodness I’m not hiding out from anyone. If my ex-husband wants to find me, I could care less. He’s back to paying child support that he owes (my daughter is 22 and he owes lots!). I haven’t done anything that I’m totally embarrassed about. Yes, there’s those drunken nights from way back when, but who hasn’t done that?
For those of you who want to know who’s searching for you for whatever reason, MyLife gathers them all on one site. There is a membership fee but you can also use that to search for people that you want to find.

I never knew about that site – I’d be really curious as to who’s searching for me. I’m not that interesting so I’d be surprised if there’s anyone out there googling me.
