We all get dressed up, the 4 kids, the dogs, I go as a giant yellow crayola crayon every year…hubby just wears a spooky shirt..and we trick or treat as long as the kids can walk. When we come back I hand out candy as long as kids come to the door. It is our favorite night of the year, that is for sure.

Before my girls I would get dressed up and go party. Now I have a 1 and 2 year old so things are different. We didn’t go last year but this year we are going Trick-or-Treating. I’m so excited. Both Husband and I are going to dress up to walk with them. Plus we are going to carve pumpkins and bake a pumpkin roll. I think I’ll let them stay up and hand out candy as well.

Halloween in more about the goodies than it is about the decor at my house these days. And when the boys were small I did their makeup and costumes so that they could enter contests are our local mall. My oldest actually won first place for his Teenage Werewolf that I’m sorry to say freaked out a man driving on the opposite side of the road while we were headed to the mall and caused him to go off the road he was so shocked.

I would choose the Little Mermaid Storybook Ariel Prestige Toddler costume for my 3 year old daughter. The Little Mermaid is her favorite show and the smile on her face would be priceless.

The way we celebrate Halloween is take the kids out during the day{now it’s the grandchildren} and then we have a party for the adults with costumes and food!
