I would choose the Devil Girl Pre-Teen Costume for my 9 yo daughter. She has had her eye on this one since early summer when we got their catalog.
My son has always wanted to be Mario so I would choose the Super Mario deluxe costume, for my 7 yr. old son…and I know he would wear it long after Halloween too! I’ve never seen Mario in a child size before, so this is really cool.
We all get dressed up, the 4 kids, the dogs, I go as a giant yellow crayola crayon every year…hubby just wears a spooky shirt..and we trick or treat as long as the kids can walk. When we come back I hand out candy as long as kids come to the door. It is our favorite night of the year, that is for sure.
My kids have their costumes–I want the New Snow White costume–I have never had a store bought costume—except when I was little–and I had the kind that come in a box with a plastic mask with a piece of elastic.

Before my girls I would get dressed up and go party. Now I have a 1 and 2 year old so things are different. We didn’t go last year but this year we are going Trick-or-Treating. I’m so excited. Both Husband and I are going to dress up to walk with them. Plus we are going to carve pumpkins and bake a pumpkin roll. I think I’ll let them stay up and hand out candy as well.

And when the boys were small I did their makeup and costumes so that they could enter contests are our local mall.
