First School Week Ends

This first week of school is over and it flew by. It felt like I blinked my eyes and it was done. Samantha is enjoying her time in fifth grade and really likes her teacher. That makes things easy. It’s actually very rare that she doesn’t like her teacher as she can get along fine with almost anyone. She’s not too happy with strict teachers, but she understands the logic behind being strict. She loves humorous and caring teachers.

Her teacher this year is a young woman who has good control over the class and does some unusual activities with her class. She even lets Samantha call her “Sensei” since she know how much Samantha wants to learn to speak Japanese.

She’s exited about reading a lot more and being with her friends. Her firs chapter of science is weather, another topic she’s interested in.

We’re in a good routine for school, but with this week over, we may sleep in a bit tomorrow.
