I took some time with my hubby and daughter to see some of the sights in New York City when I was at the Affiliate Summit. Although I was worn out from the day’s events, I’d take a nap and then get on my scooter to hit the city streets. We also had part of the day on Wednesday to ourselves as the conference ended on Tuesday.
I was really bummed because my camera started to act up during the conference. I couldn’t use the LCD screen because it wouldn’t work. Imagine taking photos by looking through the small viewfinder? (I guess that’s what you call it.) Any way we did the best we could.
Here’s Samantha in front of a poster at Carnegie Hall. She’s wearing a lanyard from the Affiliate Summit

We took a bike cab ride, with a really nice driver. This night I left my scooter back at the hotel because I knew we’d be out for a short time and using “public transportation.”

Samantha is learning Japanese on her own and was thrilled to meet this woman at Battery Park who wrote her name in Chinese and Japanese. She even talked to us about Japan and the opportunities for student exchanges.

Here is Lady Liberty on a cloudy day. We didn’t have time to get any closer to see her. Next time..
I’ll be adding more photos to Flickr and to Facebook soon.

I’ve been to NYC twice in the past two years and I love it so. My eldest daughter has her name written in Japanese characters as well!
