Parents Connect is running a contest with a grand prize of $1000. If you have a blog, website or social networking site, just add their widget. The widget that gets the most views wins. The contest began on May 20th and ends on November 20th.
Here’s some of the rules:
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must be a resident of the United States
- You must complete a form with your name, email address, and the URL of where your widget is located
- You have 10 days to reply to the email stating that you won

Parents Connect is a parenting site run by Nickelodeon. There are all types of groups and message boards and that is where the widget gathers its information from. There are broad topics about children age groups, pregnancy, sweepstakes, and discussions, etc. The more detailed threads from these groups include potty training, sticker charts, pain during pregnancy, prayer in school, the Supreme Court Nominee, etc.
The widget produces information about what activities are happening in the area from where your visitor lives. There’s an area for your visitor to place their zip code and that will bring up these events. You can see the widget in action on my sidebar and get the code to place it on your blog too.
