Home Security

With all of the child abductions that have happened recently, it is scary even in our own home. Hubby and I have a home security system but it was hit by lightning. Now we have to start all over to get a new system.

We recently got an estimate from ADT and learned that the alarm could be monitored for free. We would also get a discount on our home insurance, which is very expensive. There’s also a battery back-up which we know we need in Florida with all of the storms we have. We are the lightning capital of the world.

A security system would bring us piece of mind. The options for payment are reasonable and would fit in our budget if we make some changes. We are going to consider this as an investment for our family’s well-being.

I know it seems as if child abductions are just rampant and happening everywhere, but the truth is, they’re really not. Stranger abduction is still, thank God, relatively rare.

Still, it’s a good idea to have a security plan, whether that’s a security system or otherwise. Personally, I swore off systems after a nightmare experience with one, following the accidental dunking of panic button into water. Didn’t know it had happened. The alarm kept going off, all night long. I didn’t know if ninjas were breaking in, or what!

You should be careful if you have one of those ADT signs in your yard. There was a crime ring here recently that was going around to people’s houses that had ADT signs and asking if their systems were activated. They even had an ADT sticker on their car. If the people told them “No, we just use it to scare off burglars” then they’d come back later and rob them. I mean, sure, that was kind of dumb to tell a stranger that, but still. Just be careful. :)

My husband installed security alarms for about a month. They sold systems through telemarketing. I would definitely buy from somewhere I could reach them easily if I had questions or concerns. Some customers wouldn’t let him install it since he didn’t have a company car (he was just contracted out) – which he totally understood their concerns.

Relating to security products, especially for businesses, I need to go along with what you have said totally. You will find so many options on the market, it’s significant for a expert to be aware what is most effectivefor their situation as well as particular office building. The observations you’re giving actually are a good assist to companies plus security professionals alike. Many thanks again!
