Sinus Headache Vs. Migraine

I’ve been sick with a sinus headache, sore throat, sneezing thing. I actually missed one whole day of being online yesterday because it hurt to keep my eyes open. I slept most of the day, all night and most of today too. I’m just starting to feel somewhat better now.

What’s worse – a sinus headache or a migraine? I’ve decided that a migraine is worse. With a migraine I need complete darkness, quiet and usually get sick to my stomach too.

If it was just the sinus headache alone, yes it’s bad, but it’s mainly the feeling of stuffiness as well as pain. Either way I don’t wish them on anyone. I’m hoping to get over all of this so I can get back to work especially after being on vacation all last week.

What do you think? What hurts more?

   Oh I defnitely agree with you that a migraine is far worse than a sinus headache. With a migraine, I cannot function at all…I have to lay down in a completely dark room with no noise whatsoever, with a cold washcloth over my eyes and forehead. With a sinus headache, I can usually get by with taking a pain reliever and drinking lots of water.

   I so feel your pain! I get every headache known to man. The clusters are by far the worst I get, but I have to agree that a migraine is worse in intensity that a sinus headache, yet I find my migraines last must less time. Hope you are feeling better

   I agree that a migraine is much worse. I have roll down room darkeners on my bedroom windows plus drapes that have thermal backing which helps add more darkness. Really helps with my headaches.

   Have you tried sinus saline solutions? Ask your pharmacist. Also, when I lived in Florida I loved swimming in the Gulf, because of the salt water to help with my sinuses.;)
