• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • The Shopping Queen

March 29th, 2009 by Connie Roberts

I’m adding another title to my name, the Shopping Queen. I got such bargains dahling that I feel like I should shout it from the roof top but I’d fall and then the hospital bills would cost a lot and all the money I saved would have to be spent so it would be a big waste of time and pretty stupid too.

I got Peanut’s Junior Bridesmaid dress on sale for only $39.99. The regular price was $59.99. I was expecting to spend over $100 for her dress by looking at the junior bridesmaid dresses at some of the bridal stores so this was a big deal for me.

We all needed to get some new shorts so I searched online for any coupons for Sears. Instead of having to shop after 6 PM to save, I printed a coupon for 20% off clothing including clearance and sale prices. Peanut got 6 pairs of shorts and capris, 2 packages of socks and one pair of pjs. I got 2 pairs of shorts and one pair of capris. Hubby got 3 pairs of shorts. All of that came to $151.68. We saved over $35 just from the coupon alone. The sale prices were unbelievable! And their were racks of clearance items everywhere.

Fashion note: One of the hottest things for girls is plaid. We saw plaid shorts, bermuda shorts and capris. They are adorable!

I’m so thrilled with my big accomplishment. I treated myself to some ice-cream tonight. I think I deserved it.
