Since we wanted to do some shopping and mix in some fun time too we decided to take a trip to MacDill Air Force Base. We went to the commissary to pick up food for our upcoming Disney trip and looked at the AAFES store too. But we also took a drive around the base. It is located on the Tampa Bay shoreline so it’s a nice place to take a walk along the water. There’s also lots of planes taking off and landing, which we were able to see. Tomorrow is the Air Show so there were tons of planes and military units all around. We also saw some of the older aircraft that they have on display.

We did do some shopping like we planned to buy the clothes Peanut needed. We met a friend unexpectedly and had lunch with him. That was a special treat. And we even had dinner out. We got home about 9 PM and Peanut was so tired that she went to bed and is fast asleep right now. That’s a good barometer on how the day went, I think!
