I’m not too sure how much longer this is going to last, but as long as it does I’m going to enjoy it. Today Peanut had lunch planned with a family friend who wanted to treat her after taking her FCAT. And she wanted me to come with her!
Without knowing what that she wanted me to come, I said that I wasn’t going to go today. Then last night when I reminded her about today, she asked me if I was going to come. I told her that I wasn’t because I thought she wanted some “alone” time. Peanut said that she wanted me to come along and did before too but that I was usually too sick to go.
When I woke up this morning, I wasn’t feeling good and knew I couldn’t eat lunch, but I was going to get myself out of the house some how. I did and was glad that I joined them. Soon enough, Peanut won’t want to spend time with me so I’ll be sure to go along with her as much as possible.

Not all kids end up not wanting to spend time with their parents and i get the feeling that Peanut is always going to enjoy having you along. Maybe not all the time but certainly quite often!
I’m fortunate in that my girls like to spend time with me and want me to do things with them and they’re still teenagers. How that happened I don’t know but I’ll take it!
