The Price Isn’t Right
March 12th, 2009 by Connie RobertsAfter my birthday celebration at Disney yesterday I’m feeling a bit like I have a hangover. No, there was no alcoholic beverages of any kind (I wish). But the drive there and back did it for me. My Mom and I shared the driving but I couldn’t nap while she drove as she didn’t know how to get to Disney on her own. I didn’t walk that much, but the little I did plus the driving did me in.
This morning I could barely get out of bed. I knew I had to get Peanut off to school so I got myself together. She was really good about getting herself ready for school and helping out to be sure she was on time. When I drove her she chattered away about what was going on at school today.
On the way home I found myself having trouble staying awake. It’s only about a five minute drive, but I was afraid I’d doze off that’s how bone tired I was. I kept my eyes on the road and made a game of watching the cars go by. I counted the small cars, the vans, the SUVs and I even saw a DIRECTV truck and a small pick up carrying a lawn mower. I felt like I was playing car bingo, but it did the trick. When I got home, I ate a small breakfast and went back to bed for a few hours.

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.
