Smooth Fitness
March 10th, 2009 by Connie RobertsI read somewhere today about how people make New Year’s resolutions to get fit in January and join a gym. By February, though the gyms are empty. Who wants to the extra work of getting dressed and leaving your house to drive to a gym in order to work out? Not me!
I’d much rather have a way to exercise at home. Since the technology is available at decent prices in the long run, it can be better to purchase equipment for yourself than joining a gym. For people like me, who may not be able to get to a gym every week due to health issues, this is a good investment too.
I can’t go outdoors and work out when it is too hot or too cold so having exercise machinery to use indoors to do my walking would do me wonders. There is a big selection of treadmills available. Walking is one of the easier exercises to begin with and the good thing about treadmills is that you can increase your work out as you improve. You can also monitor your heart, watch TV or listen to music safely.
For my husband, exercise bikes are the way to go. He loves riding a bicycle but often has the time only after dark. He doesn’t feel safe riding outdoors as we don’t have sidewalks or street lights.
It’s nice to know that there are accessories available too from Smooth Fitness. They have been in business for 25 years and provide service on their equipment nationwide.

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

I like those big exercise balls. I just a DVD how to use them and do pilates. I also like going to my health club, because it gives me energy to see others working out.

Five years ago, when I lost a ton of weight on WW, it was a treadmill that helped me do it. Now, unfortunately, it’s gathering dust in our basement. I really need to get back on it and lose the weight all over again.

Treadmills work great for losing weight. If you don’t have the money for a treadmill, the cheap old fashion jump rope does wonders. You would be surprised of the calories you can burn jumping a rope.
