• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Going Green With Nature’s Source and Giveaway

March 5th, 2009 by Connie Roberts

    *GIVEAWAY ENDED. WINNER ANNOUNCED.*
For me going green with cleaning supplies isn’t just something I want to do to save the planet, or to teach my daughter about, it’s something I need to do for my health. I have multiple chronic illnesses. One of them is in a bad flare right now. It is called Myasthenia Gravis. The smell of cleaning supplies can trigger my symptoms easily so I need to be very careful.

    Nature’s Source is

a new line of natural cleaning products from SC Johnson, made with simple, biodegradable, plant-based cleaners. Now you can have the cleaning power you want and still go natural.

I received the Bathroom Cleaner which is made of “plant based cleaning agents, lactic acid and purified water”. I naturessourceusually am able to pawn off cleaning the shower stall on my husband but not this time!

When I sprayed it, I was thinking about how much work it was going to take to get rid of the suds that kept growing and growing. Then I realized this is made from the company that makes Scrubbing Bubbles. In fact there’s a picture of the cute little scrubber on the bottle. It took no time at all to clean away the dirt and have my shower shining! Even the faucet was sparkling! There was a smell but it was fine, nothing caustic. It was actually nice.

    Win It!

Win one bottle of Nature’s Source Natural Glass and Surface Cleaner.

We have a glass shower door, and it is super hard to clean. I’d love to try this product to see if it makes the process any easier.

I’d love to try that All-Purpose Cleaner. We have three dogs that each have their own cage. I try to wash the tray in their cages once a week but I’m always worried about using something with harsh chemicals to clean it in case it hurts their paws or they lick the tray. I’d love to try something that’s not only better for the environment, but my dogs too.

I would love to try the toilet bowl cleaner. It’s something I have to use but I hate that regular toilet bowl cleaner has so many harsh chemicals and I would love to try this more green product!
