We’ve been having issues with our cable company. It’s been ages and there’s no end in sight. Our cable TV goes out and our connection is bad. We don’t have any premier channels because we don’t want to pay extra. When we call for service it takes a long time for a service person to come to our home. One of the reasons is that most of our neighbors have DirectTV. It’s just poor little us complaining.
There are a number of DirectTV deals going on right now that are making us rethink our cable TV subscription. If you call them directly or use autopay you save money. Also there’s free HBO (3 channels), Showtime (9 channels) and Starzz (12 channels) for the next three months.
I just noticed that there’s even more deals if you order service directly from the internet. The listed DirectTV specials are: Free four room system and installation and free HD, DVR or DVR Receiver Upgrade. You can get a 15 second quote online too.

Hey fellow FRN reviewer
Make sure when you order your DTV to check and see who it’s coming from. You want to get it straight from DTv if you can, or else you stand a good chance of getting a bad install followed up by bad customer service. Sadly, the best deals seem to be from the poorest run contractors.
We learned the hard way, several days with someone stuck at home waiting for the installer, then when he showed up he didn’t have what he needed (cable? An installer doesn’t have cable?!), had to reschedule…then never came back! Customer service was a nightmare until we called DTv direct.
Good luck to ya

We have directtv and so far, no complaints. Honestly, I wonder how I ever watched TV before TiVo.

Besides cable, we also have several satellite options available here in CT, including Direct TV. My daughter & husband signed up as he is a Yankees fan and was unable to get the games. Have to watch out for trees though as sometimes it intereferes with reception.

We had Direct tv for awhile but then recently switched over to AT&T U-verse. I honestly liked Direct tv better!

Thanks for the info Eryn. I appreciate it.
Me want Tivo, CJ!
We’re OK in the tree department Cindi. And the Yankees, oh wow
Another vote for Direct TV. Thanks Helene.
