• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Good and Not So Good News

February 24th, 2009 by Connie Roberts

Good news first. I was chosen as the featured review blogger of the month on An Island Review. What an honor!

I also learned that I won a $25 gift certificate to Walmart from One2One Network. I worked with them for the first time adding posting a widget for Seal’s CD Soul. How exciting is that?

Ted Murphy, the CEO of Izea, and dolphin lover, came to the rescue today for my blogger friend Lisa, who traveled from Chicago to Disney World. Unfortunately her daughter became sick and had to be hospitalized. She and her husband did not have a car and were spending lots of money on cab fare going back and forth to hotel and the hospital (as well as previous medical visits). I sent a DM to Ted on Twitter about the situation. He was happy to help Lisa out by driving them from the hospital. I am very happy to work with a company like Izea because of Ted, the employees and my fellow bloggers.

Not so good news next. Peanut has a sinus infection and is on an antibiotic. She’s feeling pretty yucky right now, congested and having pretty bad headaches. I hate it when she’s sick.

I was hoping to meet up with my friend Lisa at Disney for lunch and now with her daughter being sick, it’s not going to happen.

After going to my Opthamalogist, I now have to go to a Neuro-Opthamologist. If he isn’t able to find anything wrong with my eye pain, then I am my Opthamalogist will be calling my Neurologist to see if I need to be tested for Trigeminal Neuralgia or get some other type of treatment for migraines. Another doctor, more tests. What fun.

Congrats on being the featured blogger. That is very exciting! Congrats also on the GC for the Seal Widget. I actually won a Seal CD from the same deal.

I hope Peanut is feeling better soon! I also hope you get to the root of your eye pain quickly. I’ve noticed lately that it’s so true… When it rains, it pours!!

      Dore’s last blog post..Write much???

I must have missed that about Ted helping out Lisa and her family. That is great. Sorry to hear that peanut is sick and you won’t be able to see Lisa. Also I hope that your eye pain and migranes get better.
