We did things kind of backwards but what’s so unusual about that? Our new furniture arrived a few weeks ago. The mattress is so comfortable! I now have a beautiful armoire where I store our sheets and other bedding supplies. I have a new comforter which is gorgeous. Now we’re looking at new ceiling fans and new colors to paint the room.
I’m thinking of a beige color for the room with some darker highlights for the trim. I have some new swags for the small windows and need curtain rods put up. I’m not too sure about what type of ceiling fan I want. I know I don’t want one with a light fixture, but buying one that we can add one is a good idea.
Looking at Farreys.com which offers thousands of ceiling fans I was able to search for fans by style. I tried Natural first, but didn’t find any that suited me. Then I looked at Traditional, which had more of what I was looking for. I found some Ellington fans that were just right. I was happy to find that there are also accessories available for each fan.
So now we have to move furniture, paint, put up the fan and curtains. Then we’ll be done. I guess we need to do some better planning next time around and yes there will be a next time(s),

I’m so glad for you that you are getting to do this. It is a lot of work, but fun and you get to enjoy your labor once it is over. I agree having the ability to add a light fixture is a good idea. I added one to my fan, and was so happy to have the option of the overhead lighting. Please post some pictures when you’re done so we can see the final product!!
