Yay For Early Valentine’s Day

Thank goodness that Hubby and I celebrated Valentine’s Day last night. He had the day off from work and was able to let me rest most of the day. My Mom picked up Peanut to have her spend the night at her house around 5 PM. I got to sleep before Hubby and I went out to dinner, which I really needed.

We decided to go to Carabba’s Italian Grill. I was hoping it wouldn’t be too crowded but there was a 45 minute wait for a table. As we sat down, we decided to look out for a place at the bar or the tables near the bar. We didn’t care about being in a booth alone. It was romantic enough for us to just be out alone. Sure enough a table opened up in about 15 minutes.

We had a very sweet server and a delicious, well prepared dinner. The desserts were special for the Valentine’s celebration. They were mini-desserts and served in small glasses that could be shared by two. That didn’t happen with us though! I got my own chocolate one all for myself.

This morning when Hubby picked up Peanut from my Mom’s house, she said that she didn’t feel well. She ended up with a high fever, a sore throat and a headache. We’re hoping she gets better soon. It’s a good thing that we went out last night instead of waiting for tonight.

Hope Peanut is better soon. I love to stay home for Valentine’s Day. Why oh Why is it soooo crowded in the Restaurants ON Valentine’s day, and the food is WORSE than usual! Yeah, better to go out before or after.
Hope your day was good, and Peanut is better soon!

Oh no, poor Peanut! It seems like everyone has been getting sick lately. Amanda has been fighting a cough/cold now for over a week and I just had one of the most miserable weekends ever.

Glad to hear that you had a chance for a nice night out with just you and the hubby, though! As long as you’re with the one you love, any day can be Valentine’s Day!

Hope Peanut’s feeling better soon! We ate leftovers for Valentine’s Day dinner; there was no way I was dealing with the kinds of crowds that restaurants around here get.
