What To Buy For Valentine’s Day
February 13th, 2009 by Connie RobertsSo it’s almost positive that we’re going out for dinner Friday night for Valentine’s Day. I’m really in shock. Hubby and I usually just exchange cards. Is that enough if we’re going “out on the town”? I have my special lingerie so I can consider that a gift.
I think that since we’re married and we’re actually both paying for our meal, we’re even, right? What are the rules for these kind of things? Should I care because we don’t usually follow rules when it comes to our marriage. Now don’t take that as if we have an open marriage or anything. I mean we’re not a couple that has specific things that the husband and wife does.
Now if I were to get a gift for Hubby, it would be some type of a sports gifts because that’s his favorite hobby. That’s the normal thing I buy for him anyway. I do think I’m safe with a card. I’ll be sure to get a nice one!

My husband and I really don’t do much for Valentine’s Day … we’ll get each other cards but that’s about it. So not like when we were dating!
It will be a pizza and movie night with the kids for us and that’s OK with me.
Although sometimes, it’s hard to even recognize myself from my younger days. sigh.

I’m cooking a “red and white” valentine dinner for my family, which I did last year and it was a huge hit! I wrote about it on my blog today.
I’ll probably make cards, buying them is such a racket!

I have to say I don’t have a gift for my husband yet and we don’t have plans. I’m thinking we’ll make it a family day. I should get him something, too. I’m so bad.
