So it’s almost positive that we’re going out for dinner Friday night for Valentine’s Day. I’m really in shock. Hubby and I usually just exchange cards. Is that enough if we’re going “out on the town”? I have my special lingerie so I can consider that a gift.
I think that since we’re married and we’re actually both paying for our meal, we’re even, right? What are the rules for these kind of things? Should I care because we don’t usually follow rules when it comes to our marriage. Now don’t take that as if we have an open marriage or anything. I mean we’re not a couple that has specific things that the husband and wife does.
Now if I were to get a gift for Hubby, it would be some type of a sports gifts because that’s his favorite hobby. That’s the normal thing I buy for him anyway. I do think I’m safe with a card. I’ll be sure to get a nice one!

Instead of buying, is there something you can make? A favourite treat perhaps?

My husband and I really don’t do much for Valentine’s Day … we’ll get each other cards but that’s about it. So not like when we were dating!
It will be a pizza and movie night with the kids for us and that’s OK with me.
Although sometimes, it’s hard to even recognize myself from my younger days. sigh.

I’m cooking a “red and white” valentine dinner for my family, which I did last year and it was a huge hit! I wrote about it on my blog today.
I’ll probably make cards, buying them is such a racket!

I have to say I don’t have a gift for my husband yet and we don’t have plans. I’m thinking we’ll make it a family day. I should get him something, too. I’m so bad.

How about a card and a kiss? I bet he’d be happy with just that as well as your presence at dinner!
Have a wonderful time!
