Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday this year. This Saturday is probably going to be very busy at most restaurants. So Hubby and I have decided that we will probably go out to dinner Friday night. In case I don’t feel well enough, we’ll just do take out.
Since Hubby doesn’t make decisions about what to do, where to go and will say to me, “what do you want to do?” (UGH!) I’m doing some planning on my own. I did a local search for restaurants online. I was able to put in where we live and pull up a number of places, some with reviews. There was also a way to search for cities close to us.
From the local restaurants I picked three that I know both of us will like. One of them had reviews from other search engines included plus a local reviewer.I liked the fact that there was an area named “Local Favorites”. For the restaurants that were not too close to us, there were even directions available.
I’d say that Local.com is is the the same as the local yellowpages except that it’s online. Since I spend most of my time online, it’s easy to use. And I can I just pull up the site and show my choices to my husband. Hopefully this will make the decision of what to do for Valentine’s Day easy and painless.

That sounds like a good way to find new places to eat at! I’m always the one saying to my husband “where do you wanna go…anything’s fine with me” and then I nix all his ideas and end up at the same places we always go. That probably explains why we’re in marital therapy!

Oh, I know, that drives me nuts when hubby’s just like, “So what do you want to do?” All my friends do that too, I always have to pick where we’re going to go out. I’ve learned to live with it! LOL
