Day With Peanut
January 31st, 2009 by Connie RobertsToday was just the perfect day to be lazy with Peanut, curled up together, watching TV, looking at some videos online, playing a few games together and just talking and laughing. My favorite kind of thing to do. It doesn’t take much energy, of which I am still in low supply but it is such a special time.
Peanut is getting older and wiser. She worries that I am sick and knows it’s been a long time. Spending time together like this is helpful so that she can realize that I am still able to be her Mom in ways that are important.
Having things that we can enjoy together makes it even more fun and being able to just snack and not expecting big meals is perfect. We can have fun and not worry about anything. She opens up and talks about things that are on her mind during our special time.
Tomorrow Hubby will probably do something and take her outside and run around a bit.

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

It sounds like a perfect time….I took my 11yr son on a “date” night we went to the movies and dinner and had a great time last night.

Isn’t it amazing how fast they grow up and the moments they put other things to the side and they’re concerned with us? My little man aka “Peanut” is very sensitive at these moments when he’s not being the typical boy worrying about me and snuggling next to me.
BTW…posted a comment on your Little Debbie’s Giveaway!

I just found your Blog… I will keep you in my prayers for your health. It is amazing how we take our health for granted when we have it. Stay in the fight. You sound like a Real Trooper! My kinda woman! I am so glad I found your blog. I lost my 83 year old Mom 2 years ago, I miss her VERY much. I do NOT take even ONE day for granted. God never Promises us Tomorrow!

I love those quiet times.
My favorite part of my day is in the morning, after my youngest has breakfast and before she gets dressed for school. She snuggles on the couch with me and we watch GMA for a couple of minutes.
Sometimes THAT’S what gets me through the day.
