Getting Behind

Since my Aunt went into the hospital before Christmas, I’ve pretty much been doing just enough to get by and not really building my business. I have so much to do that it is a bit scary. I keep saying that tomorrow I will feel better and get back into the swing of things, but so far that day hasn’t come.

Yes I’ve been blogging and writing reviews, as well as doing giveaways, but I need to do things like work on my new website, work on social networking more, and take my blogs to the next level. My energy level is so low that I can’t even think straight so doing these kind of things takes me more energy than normal.

Tomorrow I plan on taking some baby steps. I want to break down all the big steps into smaller ones and then prioritize them. This way I can do at least one thing each day. I know I will feel better emotionally and maybe it will get me on the road to physical recovery quicker too.

I hope your energy levels come back up soon Connie. You know you have to try and take care of yourself first before you can take care of other things (I really should practice what I preach LOL).

    Hang in there!

Breaking tasks down into smaller, baby steps is a wise idea, and much more manageable. It makes the projects seem less daunting. I’ve been experiencing the same issues, as we all seem to have so much on our plate. It’s best to try to achieve one goal per day/evening. While social networking is important, perhaps it’s best to allocate a given amount of time to it per day.

I know exactly how you feel, between starting school and trying to get an offline business going I have just not had time for any of the extras that come with blogging.

I also think baby steps are the best way to go. I will be doing that this weekend as I don’t have much to do.

That really is an excellent idea … breaking it down into smaller steps. It really will not seem so overwhelming then.

Also try to get some good sleep and maybe a multi-vitamin, to help with your energy level.

I can relate to feeling like I’m busy doing the everyday tasks, but not getting to the projects. Breaking those projects down into baby steps works for me, too. Before I can do that, I have to get all my thoughts out of my brain onto paper. I do a brain map or brain dump—just writing all my thoughts and ideas down. Asking myself questions like, “what do I want?”, “when do I want this to happen?”, “what’s holding me back and how can I cange that?”.

I agree with CJ, sleep is important and so is giving yourself time just for you – to do something just for you.

I’m sorry that you’ve got the wearies ~ I sure know how that goes. I think baby steps are a good way to ease yourself back into your routine. And yes, please do something for yourself!

Great idea! Now exactly what do you want to focus on, and how can we help you?

Get sleep!!! Take time off. Watch old movies. Stress is a creativity zapper.

Cindi, I need to get back to my scheduling. My problem is that I’m not even feeling well enough to do those little things. I have to cut those steps in half.
