New Hobbies

Peanut is looking into doing something after school, something other than her normal routine. We got a paper home about some classes that are available and one of them is an art class. Peanut has been very interested in drawing and enjoys her art class in school.

I really want her to do some other things besides playing video games and going on the internet. This may be just the answer. I called to get information on who will be teaching and the cost is $30 for four classes. There’s a good possibility that this will happen.

She has a good friend that has horses. She’s shown some interest in that too. But to be honest we can’t afford riding lessons and theequestrian riding apparel and equipment she’ll need.

It’s a good thing that she chose art.

Art is wonderful! Home schooling, I should have made a point to enroll my son in his younger years to creative outside activities. And yes, with price being a factor… take the art! And she’s sure to have fun :)

Ponies bite, riding horses do not. I know this because I spend too much time at the racetrack. Haha.

All kids like art class! There’s no right way or wrong way, just their way. I hope she enjoys it!

it’s good that she’s taking up a hobby. when we have kids, we plan to limit their video game and tv time and have them do more constructive things. my parents did that for us when we were growing up.

Art classes are great. Stimulating creativity is important. I think the TV and video games do the opposite! My sister has a daughter that is hugely into riding horses. She found a way to help with cleaning up at the barn and it pays off the cost of classes and the gear….which does seem costly. It’s worked out and Brittney loves it. Just a thought!

Cady, We are doing that now with her video games since we’re seeing signs of addiction. It’s more because she’s not wanting to play with other children than anything else. Good idea that you’re planning with your husband on how to raise your child.

Karen, she takes after my husband in that category and not me, thank goodness! My husband can draw very well. She is blessed.

One important thing to look at is on what are the things that the kids likes to do.. Anyway, engaging into arts is cool..
