School Helps Again

Even though I wasn’t feeling up to it, I went to Peanut’s school to get information on her fourth grade’s FCAT testing that is coming up in March. Peanut already took this test last year in third grade.

She isn’t worried about it at all as she did very well last year. She’s not worried about it this year either She’s finding the “prompts” or pre-tests easy this year, even easier than her school work.

I could have easily skipped tonight’s meeting but I like to keep informed of what is going on with her education. Plus I know how much effort the teachers and staff did to prepare for this night.

It was a very informative hour with laptops at each seat. We were able to take the prompts for ourselves. It was eye-opening to see how much they are really learning. It was sort of like the TV show, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? I learned that I’m not smarter than a 4th Grader.

It really is amazing… they learn so much so young! Hopefully the younger generation will do a better job of retaining the info!

    ROTF at your last sentence!

I swear, I think I’m getting dumber with each passing day. Sometimes I look at my daughter’s math homework and just sit there, with my mind blank.

    She’s in third grade.

Andreas last blog post..I think DSL stands for “Doh! Sorry, Loser”

Andrea, we had to get a Math textbook from our daughter’s teacher so we can help her with homework.
