• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Winter Wonderland

I tell you, my daughter’s school and PTSO is awesome. Tonight was Winter Wonderland. It’s usually an event where there’s a movie, popcorn, hot cocoa, etc. and the money raised goes to a charity.

This year though, since times are hard, we did something very different. Local stores donated Christmas trees. The students made ornaments for the trees. Every tree was donated to a family from our school who couldn’t afford to get one on their own.

We also sold hot cocoa, pizza, s’mores, and school logo shirts and hoodies. The school chorus did a performance using the bells we won from a Campbell’s Soup Labels For Education contest (the extra points got us the bells and other equipment for the students).

It was well attended and it was a lot of fun. I helped making the s’mores but didn’t eat even one. I couldn’t stand to look at them after a while, since we made so many.

Great idea. Sounds like it was a lot of fun and helped others at the same time. The part I like best is that it was family oriented, included children and teaches them to help others and have fun doing it:)

It was a fun time with a purpose like you said Debonaraire. I’m glad that my dd’s school does a lot of these type events.

Danna, you do so much to help others so I know you’re involved with new things all the time. I am enjoying it, especially while she’s still too young for me to embarrass her!
