So What Happened to All That Money I Saved?

I saved a lot of money when I shopped for our Christmas gifts online on Black Friday. I was thrilled about it.

Today I was running late to volunteer at my daughter’s school. I rushed because I still had a stop to make to pick up donations for the school’s yard sale too. I was speeding on a road that I travel every day. Lo and behold a State Trooper pulled me over. I explained as nicely as possible to tell him the truth.

He just walked away to his car with my Driver’s License and Registration. And returned shortly with a speeding ticket.

The amount of that ticket, $179.

So where will all that money go that I saved?

Oh dear, that’s not a good thing at all. Not that there’s ever a good time to get a speeding ticket but they always seem to happen at the worst possible times.

Yup, ekniff. The speed limit was 35 and was I going 48. Even though I drive that road every day I thought the limit was 45. Now it’s embedded in my brain for sure!

Wow $179 is pretty darn steep for just a speeding ticket! I don’t think police give “warnings” anymore….they used to. But now, it seems one little thing and they just write the ticket without thought. Not fair- Good thing you saved when buying presents!
