Grandma D’s Tree and Wreath Farm And Giveaway

There’s nothing like the scent of pine in the air during Christmas time. And a wreath from Noble and Douglas Fir Trees is just what Santa ordered for me and my family! When I received my fresh 24″ Evergreen Wreath from Wreaths Direct I was thrilled with the look and yes the scent too.

Opening the box was like being surrounded by Pine Trees. Actually I could smell the pine scent even before I opened the box. And when I saw this gorgeous wreath it was all I could do to break out the Christmas storage boxes to get my wreath holder.

Grandma D's I learned that Grandma D’s Tree and Wreath Farm provides various wreaths for Wreaths Direct. They are a family owned company from Oregon that has been in existence since the 1920’s. I was very happy with the shipping. The box was secure and there were hardly any needles in the bottom of the box.

Now I am enjoying how beautifully this is made, including a lovely red bow with real pine cones and juniper berries. It is proudly displayed on my front door and will last the whole season even though I live in Florida. There’s nothing to do to care for it.

  14. Maureen Says:

We don’t own a tree anymore, and we couldn’t afford to buy one this year, so I had resigned myself to the fact that this Christmas we would have to make do without it. I was talking to a woman I met since moving into our place in Oct., we actually met her when we looked at the place, her folks had been living here and were both killed in a tragic auto accident, she was over cleaning up the house so the landlord could show it. I took to her immediately, and we have become friends since my moving in. Anyway, I mentioned about the lack of a tree, and she offered to loan us her 4ft. tree that she usually puts up in her basement! I thought that was about the sweetest thing anyone has every done for me. Because of her, we have a tree this year, and it fits perfectly in our living room. My mother is happy, I am happy and I know it made my friend feel good that she could help out during a difficult holiday season for her and her family.

You made me think of the smell of a real tree with your story and photo about your wreath. I do miss that part, but I feel so blessed! Connie, the wreath looks lovely on your door and I know it must be putting you in the Christmas spirit. Maybe next year I will be able to afford the real thing from Grandma D’s or Wreath’s Direct, but for now I am grateful for the kindness of a friend!

    Happy Holidays to everyone!

I love the smell of “Christmas” as we call it. My little boy doesn’t get to smell it that much because we have an artificial tree, but something “alive” would be nice. I hadn’t really thought about getting a “real” wreath…hmmm…then it could be outside so it doesn’t matter if the needles fall off everywhere! :)

    Hi Connie,

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me a comment. I love your photos too. I just had to take a photo since my wreath matched my door. The picture they gave us was too small. The wreath is absolutely gorgeous don’t you think? I hate to say it but my is brown but it is the sun’s fault. I get direct sun at my front door during the winter and it kind of baked it. But the smell is still there.

I love doing reviews when I can and feel lucky just like you. I hope I get to do more.

Love the wreath! I decided a couple of years ago to put up a 2 artificial slim line trees each Christmas. They are beautiful and easy, but I miss the smell of evergreen. A wreath like this beauty would complete the picture!

  49. Connie Says:

Cindy, a lot of people are using a real wreath along with an artificial tree to get the pine scent.
