What A Wonderful Thanksgiving

The stuffing didn’t have much flavor. The candied yams were a little too sweet. But it was a wonderful Thanksgiving at our home. We prayed for those who didn’t. We were thankful for having food and lots of it on our table this year.

In the background the television was on (not while we were eating) with the news of the terrorist attacks on Mumbai. And we we prayed for all the people hurt, afraid, the families of those injured and who had died and the attackers too. We prayed that they would see the wrong of their way. And we were thankful for our safety.

We got upset with each other as we got tired of the chopping and cooking, the washing and drying of dishes. Then we laughed about it and laughed some more. We prayed for those who were alone today and were thankful for the love of our family.

I pray that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!

It sounds like you most definitely had a wonderful Thanksgiving and even though the prep can drive you darned near crazy sometimes, the wonderful meal is always worth it!

Uau.. I’m glad you had a great time. In Portugal we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but I have all my US blogger friends on my heart on that day.

I sure did Helene. It was better than expected especially since my older daughter wasn’t here. I thought I’d be crying the whole day, but having my family keeping me busy helped out a lot.
