Sucking It Up

I got a wake up call today. A good friend of mine made a difficult choice to tell me something that I needed to hear – “suck it up, get over this stupid Wii contest and the Twitter thing and get on with my life.” She told me that I wasn’t acting like myself. That’s a true friend, one who can give you criticism that you need to hear, even though it is a hard thing for her to do.

Today has been such a great day now that my focus is on much more important things. I have been smiling more, been able handle the little things that would get me annoyed in a flash and just feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Danna, The Power Selling Mom, has been a friend who is always there for me. She has helped me in so many ways, when I was selling on eBay, started my free eBay advertising website and whenever I have questions. We talk on the phone and keep in touch on Twitter, Facebook and emails. She inspires me.

Thank you Danna for teaching me a much needed lesson! I am on the road to bigger and better things. I’ll continue to promote DOUA and help raise funds for them but I won’t get caught up in drama. It’s not me.

I don’t know what happened, or need to, but do agree with you. It does take someone that cares about your success and happiness to do the difficult thing and tell you something for your own good. Drama doesn’t help anyone…unless the goal is to be on the Enquirer or People’s Court, lol. You sound like a very cool person to know. I wish you lots of luck in all that you do and hope to see you around.

Leah, love the Enquirer and People’s Court reference. I’ll add Jerry Springer to the mix too :) Thanks for the kind words.

Sometimes you need to get things in perspective. Now if I can stop playing this stupid Flash game and get back on with my life ….

Some people thrive on drama. Some people are smart and know there’s no need for it. I like to think we are the smart ones, Connie :)
