Some Wedding News

Most of you know that my older daughter is getting married. In Kansas. Yes over a thousand miles away from us. It’s exciting but difficult too. I want to be there with her when she makes decisions! But she’s really good about keeping in touch with me about things. We talk every day and she sends me information by email too. I get to see some of her choices from various websites like the Etsy and eBay.

One thing that we talked about today was possibly having some cameras on the tables so people can take their own photos. I know it’s an old idea but we’re trying to cut costs so it may be a good idea in the long run.

The funny thing is that she thought I said to put digital cameras on all of the tables and we got into a heated discussion on how this was going to save money. When we finally realized that she misunderstood what I said, we had a good laugh over it. It’s easy to get confused about things when she’s calling me from her cell phone while driving home from work.

I promise that if we do go the camera route it will be with disposable cameras

I got a kick out of your blog because… I’m thinking this is going to start up the discussion again, which it should! You guys were both right by the way. We give you the best of both worlds with our service. Ask your guests to bring their digital cameras and take pictures for you at all your events! http://www.seeyouthen.com.

The “idea” of the disposable camera is excellent and a great way to reduce what you need to order from your professional. Our brides have averaged 700 digital (many over 1000) photos from guests. Check us out. If you have any questions, contact us and we’ll walk you through the process.

Digital disposables really aren’t all that expensive so I would say go that route – saves you on having all of the film developed and then half of the pictures not coming out the way they should have!

Linda, I didn’t know that digital disposables existed. I’m a photo newbie. I’ll be checking into those.

Fiona, I think it’s more stressful, especially since we’re paying for it site unseen. Yikes, that just hit me.

I like the idea too Arlice, especially if it they take good photos and it will save some money for us. I still expect to have a photographer, I guess.

I’ve always thought cameras on the tables was a good idea. You get to see things through others perspectives and see things you would have otherwise would not have.
I’m sure your daughter will have a beautiful wedding!
