Getting Out Of The House

I’ve been pretty much stuck in my house again because I’ve been sick. It’s not a smart idea for me to be around people when I’m fighting a cold and on antibiotics because I’m apt to get something a lot worse. Since I didn’t get my flu shot yet either, then it made it even more necessary to stay home. Plus I’m still feeling very sleepy and weak.

Tomorrow I go to the my primary doctor for a regular checkup but I can also have her see what is going on with me and determine if I can get the flu shot now. I hope she sets me free from my house bound state so I don’t lose my mind. If I’m set free, one of the first things I want to do is go shopping. Hubby has been wonderful as always throughout all of this, but I like to use my coupons and actually look at prices when I shop. We need so many groceries and paper products, etc. I know when I buy things we’ll be saving money.

The next thing I’d like to do is to get something to eat at a restaurant somewhere. I haven’t decided where yet, but I just want to sit down and order some food and be around people. I really wish we could afford to go away somewhere like to the Outer Banks or Disney but we can’t. Hopefully on Veteran’s Day, we can do something for a few hours together and celebrate my getting out of the house.

I hope you are feeling better! Being stuck in the house is never fun…

I just took a short walk and looked at the beautiful colors of the leaves changing. Like you, I have been housebound for almost a month, unless you count doctor’s appointments as “outings”. It really wears your spirit down when you can’t be out and about and with people. I pray your doctor will release you today, but also that you are careful not too overdo when you first get out. I like the idea of treating yourself to going to a restaurant to eat. Pick something you really love and will be able to enjoy.

Know you have my thoughts and prayers for your recovery and the return of your freedom!

I hope you’re feeling better soon! Something has definitely been going around; I guess it’s that time of year. It sounds like you have some good plans for when you’re not sick anymore though.
