Volunteering on Election Day

In Florida we had early voting. I made sure to take part in that. So after voting on October 20th and getting my "I Voted" sticker I was able to volunteer for the Democratic party by making phone calls to people who were supposed to vote by Absentee Ballots. Today I spent the day doing making those phone calls, scheduling people for rides to the polls and people’s ballots to be picked up and brought to the Supervisor of Elections’ Office. I hope that I’m able to say that I did my part to get the vote out this year.

I would say you most certainly did. Good for you!

I can’t believe it’s over. I’m so glad it is! I only had to stand in line for 20 minutes or two – I was shocked! I thought it would be for much longer than that.
