The Big Night

Tonight is Peanut’s Chorus Recital. She and the school chorus will be performing with three other choruses at an area church. She’s is excited and a bit nervous too. With both me and Hubby not feeling well we’re doing our best to keep our spirits up while focusing our attention on her. She, of course comes first.

My Mom, Aunt and a good family friend will be attending. We’re planning on getting something to eat before we drive to the church. I hope that Peanut will be able to eat. She gets an upset stomach when she gets nervous and excited. So we’re leaving the choice of where to eat up to her. After all this is her night!

We already have her black skirt, white oxford shirt and black shoes. After school, I’ll pamper her a bit by doing her hair and getting her ready. I may even let her wear some glittery lip gloss.

I’ll be taking photos to share, so stay tuned.

That sounds so exciting! It takes me back to my school days, as I don’t have kids of my own yet. I was in the school choir and my mom used to do those things for me. You are such a great mom to pamper her so well! She will always treasure these moments. :)

Hope you feel better, too. I could lie down and sleep for about ten more hours but alas, I have so much to do before work no such luck!

Oh, I’m sure she’ll look so cute! Oh, andI know, when I used to sing a lot (in my younger years), food was the last thing on my mind until I got the whole performance over with. So is your daughter pretty musical?

Really hope the night goes well for Peanut and that she can deal with her nerves. I used to be a quivering wreck when I had to stand up and perform at school.
