Internet JukeBox

As I’ve written before I usually need quiet when I’m writing, but when I’m on Twitter, dropping EC cards, visiting forums, Stumbling, etc. I like to have some kind of noise in the background. I’m not much of a fan of television shows unless it’s CNN or Lost but it’s nice to hear some music that I like.

I found a sale on something called an “internet radio jukebox”. I”ve never heard of it before but now that I have I want one. What it does is allow you to find and listen to radio stations all over the world on your computer.

The actual name of it is the Aluratek AIRJ01F USB Internet Radio Jukebox. It costs $27.99 with free shipping. The savings on this is $22. A great bargain for something I would really enjoy.

It features:

  • Access 13,000 internet radio stations worldwide
  • No monthly cost like paid satellite radio
  • A free USB connection
  • Ability to search for music by type and area (country, state, etc)
  • Ability to favorite what the stations you like
  • No software required

With my own radio jukebox I can listen to what I want, when I want. There’s even talk and news shows available. I enjoy music from different countries so having that can really get me grooving while I’m working.

I love to check out the Weekly Deals on Buy.com. You never know what you’ll find. When I choose something to purchase, there’s more recommended clearance items too. There’s everything from DVD’s to pink Breast Cancer Awareness items, from computers to CD’s, and from toys to Halloween costumes. Most items have customer ratings that help me decide if I want to buy or not. I like the reviews, especially for the technology items.

With the holidays approaching, I’ve bookmarked this site and check each week for gift ideas.

I love to have music playing when I’m on the computer … I usually just hook up my iPod to my daughter’s charger, or whatever it’s called. Thank God she’s so much more techie that I’ll ever be … she set up my iPod to begin with – I didn’t even know how to turn it on.
