• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Lunch With Starryskye and Nugget

September 18th, 2008 by Connie Roberts

Starryskye and sonI got to meet my first blogger in person today and it was a blast. Christine from Starryske and her son Zander met me for lunch at a Greek restaurant. The food was good and the company even better.

Christine aka Starryskye was just the same as she is as a blogger, funny with a weird sense of humor, just what I like. Zander, her son, aka Nugget is not only adorable but a flirt. I’ve crowned him Honey Mustard Nugget because that’s my favorite sauce for nuggets and he took a piece of my heart with him when they left. Yes he’s that darn cute!

Christine was in Spring Hill staying with her parents after Izeafest. We found out that she attended the same school as my older daughter though not at the same time, but it still made me feel old LOL. For all we know we may have crossed paths but never knew it.

She told me a lot about Izeafest and settled my concerns about not being able to participate due to my health. Next year I’ll be there with bells on. I’ll just have to find someone to take care of Peanut, but it’s a long way off. Christine's pants

We had a delicious meal and even Zander ate some Greek food. I think it’s great that he’s willing to taste new foods, now if I can only get Peanut on that bandwagon. I told him I’d treat him to a cookie after lunch which he ate up. Good thing he ate it at the outdoor tables because it was covered in powered sugar. Well good thing for Zander and me but not for Christine. The styrofoam box went flying from the wind and made a bit of a mess on Christine’s pants.

We exchanged phone numbers and hopefully after the cookie episode and my being late to lunch, Christine will want to go out for lunch again when she visits her family here. Here’s to a safe trip home, Starryskye and here’s a big (((HUG))) to my new BF, Honey Mustard Nugget! Look at that cutie pie :)

Oh how cool! She seems like she would be fun and easy to talk to. I wondered why she hasn’t posted all about IZEAfest and has left that yummy candy picture up for a few days now. She is busy visiting!
