• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Growing Up Too Fast

September 14th, 2008 by Connie Roberts

Hubby and I had to drive my Mom to the Port today so that she could board the ship and get started on her cruise. While we did that we left Peanut with our Pastor’s family so that she could attend a church fellowship at a member’s home. We didn’t want her to miss out on this. The home is on the Weeki Wachee River and it’s a lovely setting for lots of activities.

It felt odd leaving Peanut to do something like that for most of the day as she’s usually afraid of being in the water and doing new things on her own, but she’s growing up so fast. She didn’t want to miss out being with our church family, celebrating our Pastor’s birthday and having the chance to see a manatee.

We knew she’d have a lot more fun that shopping at the commissary while we looked for bargains, sales and used coupons. And she sure did! She came running in the door telling us that she saw a baby manatee and that she was going to fall asleep so fast because she didn’t stop playing except to eat.

I’m so grateful for my children. My heart just overflows with love for them. As a Mom I want them to stay little sometimes but it’s a good feeling to see them grow up and right before your eyes.
