I am so happy that my Mom is taking a much needed and well deserved vacation. You see my mom is 79 years old, takes care of her sister (my aunt) and helps me when I’m not feeling well. She is the ultimate caregiver who puts herself last all the time.
She always has me and everyone who cares about her worried because she isn’t well herself but she continues to do too much too often. If she hears about someone in trouble, even if that person is a stranger, she goes out of her way to help, because no one is a stranger.
So tomorrow she’s off to have some fun. She’s going on a week long cruise. She’s not getting off the ship because she’s been on this trip before a few times. She’s going alone but she’ll be the life of the party in no time.
I’ll miss her but I’m so happy for her. Bon Voyage Mom!
