A Bad Hair Day

too much party last night...

I can’t put my finget on it. There’s really no rhyme or reason. It’s just a really bad day for me today. I’m in a funk and I can’t get out of it. I’m feeling overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated and just plain ole angry. It’s so bad that I have a headache.

What a downer. This is not a day for blogging so you may not even want to read this post. That’s OK, just go ahead and skip past this one. I won’t mind. It’s probably best that you do.

You’ll see me at my worst right now. I have bed hair. I’m wearing old clothes that I wouldn’t be caught dead in and I can’t get myself to smile, not even a smirk.

Run and hide. Hubby went to bed early to get away from me. Peanut just stayed away and went to bed on her own without me having to remind her. I’m that scary.

Now if you stuck through this post and even left me a comment., you are a true friend. I’ll never forget this…

    Hey girlfriend!

We all have days like yours; although we are all not as transparent in sharing.

I find when I get in a funk, I am exhausted (many factors come into play when I am tired)…so, as soon as I am able, I get myself to bed. Usually I am able to look at things more clearly when I am refreshed physically. And if that doesn’t work, I know I need to be refreshed spiritually.

My latest funk brought me to a place of stillness with our Lord…waiting on Him. (still there actually) :) I find it difficult because I like to be busy. (family, learning something new , connecting with new friends, working on my blog, etc.) But, filling my day with all these things, plus my role of wife and mom doesn’t leave alot of time for being still and for truly listening.

I am learning to REST in Him, knowing that He is completely in control.
I need to trust Him. He knows what is BEST for me.

    * Hope it helps to know that someone else has had a day and/or days like yours. Praying that you will be sheltered by God’s LOVE, surrounded by His PEACE and that you will find NEW JOY in the morning. Father, give my sister a new song to sing! Thank you that she will have a GOOD hair day tomorrow!

Bad hair days are excellent excuses for just staying in the house and leaving the rest of the world at bay. Unfortunately, when I have them I seem to still have to go to work and deal with everyone else’s “bad hair” days!

Hang in there, better hair days are a’coming!

Aw, we all have days like that for sure. Mine turned into that when I got a speeding ticket today. Sigh.
