• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Label Me This

August 11th, 2008 by Connie Roberts

We just got through sorting out Peanut’s back to school supplies. All new shiny folders, folders with prongs, a binder, pens (for the first year!), markers, boxes of tissues and new school uniforms. We also got lots of paper and pencils, erasers, a ruler, all of the normal supplies. She’ll be using her backpack from last year, since we had to buy a new one towards the end of the year and her old lunchbox too.

Last year she lost a sweater, some folders and too many pencils to count. Oh yeah an umbrella too. She also forgot to bring home her reading book every other week or so the night before her tests. This year I’m hoping she’ll be more responsible. Will she be? At 9 who knows? She’s pretty much scatter brained. She has the added brain fog from me besides the normal being “out there” at her age.

So maybe making use of a DYMO Labelmaker would do the trick. I can use it to label her supplies, her clothing and even her supplies on her desk. Think of how organized her homework time would be! She could actually spend time doing it instead of preparig for it. And It be a joy not to hear, “Mom, where’s my fill in the blank?”

We used to have one of these things and it was great but I think my ex-husband got custody of it in the divorce! Sigh …
