• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

    Help Needed

    August 31st, 2008

I’m working toward growing my readership on all of my blogs, earning more money from advertising on my blogs and getting my name on the map. It’s been a lot of work but with help of friends from the blogosphere and Twitter, forums and social networking gurus, I’m starting to see some results.

ConnieFoggles LogoI’ve put some of the things I’ve learned into practice including using my own photo as my avatar instead of a logo, using Twitter to reach out to people I look up to and getting a new logo that portrays my business. I’m working on writing a bio with the help of a good friend now.

With all that I’m doing I feel like I’m going to need to do employment screening as I continue to work on more projects.

    Hurricane Gustav

    August 30th, 2008

Living in Florida during Hurricane season makes you feel uneasy. After getting away again by God’s grace without a direct hit or even much rain from Tropical Storm Fay recently I feel really blessed. But it still causes me and Hubby to be prepared.

Reading and hearing about Hurricane Gustav and getting some of the bands of rain from it today really has me thinking about Katrina and it’s victims. Back then we donated money and helped an family from New Orleans that we learned about through eBay.

I’m happy to see that FEMA is prepared this time to avoid the disaster that occurred after Katrina. We want to be totally prepared too. We have gone through our property insurance policy and need to buy flood insurance *note to self do this ASAP*. The other thing we need to look into is mortgage life insurance. I want to do this because about 3-4 months before I got Myasthenia Gravis I spoke with a friend about getting Disability Insurance but never followed through. We’ve learned our lesson. And seeing the flooding from a Tropical Storm we need flood insurance too.

I’m on the move. I can’t stop. Here I come so watch out!

If I’m not blogging I’m tweeting, or I’m blog hopping or on forums. I’m getting my stuff together and making it work.

I’ll be speaking on Thursday Sept. 11th at 3 PM ET for Invisible Illness Week about blogging so I’m trying my best to tie up all my lose ends and be ready!

Please mark this down on your calendar and listen in. There’s going to be lots of other great speakers too. Soon the list will up on the Invisible Illness Blog. Sign up for their feed so you can keep up to date on what’s happening.

    Long Weekend For Some

    August 29th, 2008

Labor Day weekend has me picturing a long relaxing weekend with my family. Peanut has Monday off. Hubby had today off. But he has to work tomorrow, huh? Does it make sense? Not to me either but that’s how it goes here.

So we’ll have a mixed up kinda weekend. Tomorrow I intend on working my butt off anyway. I’m having a friend come to help take photos for our eBay store. Peanut is going to clean her room. I’m going to work on my blogs do some more organizing. Seems like all I do is organize. I need to find a better word, like re-organizing or something catchier. I’ll work on that too!

Hopefully by Monday I’ll have some free time so we can do something together as a family. Wouldn’t that be nice? What are your plans for this weekend?
