Warning: Rant and probably boring one at that.
Today was supposed to be an easy day, time spent with my Mom and Peanut. We woke up to a terrible thunder storm with the electricity going on and off. I really wanted to sleep in because I had so much trouble sleeping last night. I keep having this pain in my rib cage, chostocondritis and sleeping the wrong way, sneezing, coughing, almost anything makes it hurt. So I got about 3 hours of sleep when Peanut came running into my bed because of the storm.
I would have woken up any way because it was loud and windy and the smoke detector make that screeching noise when the electricity shuts them off and they go to battery power anyway.
After that calmed down I couldn’t go back to sleep so we got up and got ready for our day. Peanut had a dentist appointment at 2:30 and I had my appointment with the nephrologist at 4:00. I didn’t want Peanut to eat any food after 11 as the dentist was going to decide if she would have the two very loose teeth pulled. They would give her gas for it and didn’t want food in her tummy.
So neither one of us ate after 11. When we got the dentist with my Mom we were told they were running behind because their electricity was off for a while. The clock was ticking and our stomachs were rumbling.
They took x-rays of Peanut’s mouth, then the dentist wanted more done. It was getting late and we still had to eat before my appointment. I will never schedule appointments like this again. We ended up telling the dentist that we needed to go. She said she’d look at the x-rays and call me. We ran out of there and headed to the closest Subway, ordered sandwiches and got back in the car.
Peanut and I shoved food in our mouths as my Mom drove. We got to my doctor’s office at 3:56. Mom went in to sign me in but they said I’d be called in next. So I ate a few more bites and went into the office.
I’ll post more about why I’m in such a bad mood tomorrow. I do have Gitelman’s Syndrome. It’s not bad but what I have to do has me upset and annoyed. More things added to my long list of “health stuff”.
