Disney Vacation Rocked

My latest vacation to Disney World rocked! I am happy to say that my energy level was much better so I was able to enjoy the parks in moderation. The Animal Kingdom Lodge is now one of my favorite places to stay on site. And we were successful in not spending a lot of money. The weather was good with a few rain storms but not the daily ones that we had expected.

I’ll be posting photos as soon as I have time to upload them from my camera and Hubby’s cell. But I can tell you that there’s lots of happy faces and photos of animals from the savannas within the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I could have stayed watching the animals for hours. I was shocked to see how close they were to the hotel. The guides were very pleased to share their knowledge of the giraffes, zebras, anikole cattle, wildbeest and more.

The parks were not very crowded which Hubby and I concluded was due to the bad economy. Time spent waiting on line was cut down a great deal then.My having a “guest assistance pass” also helped with some of the attractions that allow people with disabilities to have a shorter wait time.

I talked to Hubby and Peanut about returning to this resort and just spending the time there. They had activities almost all day long, the pool was so nice and of course the animals were such an attraction for us. But it was as if I had suggested we’d rob a bank! No way could we spend even a few days at Disney World without visiting the parks according to them. Now if I would have suggested that Hubby spend a weekend playing Titleist golf while Peanut and I relaxed at the resort he’d be all for it. Just goes to show you what my family views as a vacation.

It seems you all had a great time, I can’t wait to see the photos. It’s a shame I’m so far away from Disney World, my kids would love to go there.
