Dining Room Remodel

wall of crossesThere wasn’t much we needed to do in the Dining Room to remodel it except to take down some of the older items we had on the walls and put up some newer ones. I had been collecting crosses of various types for about a year now. When I went to Mexico last year on our cruise I purchased some of the colorful ones I’ve wanted and then found some others at yard sales, in stores and got one as a gift.

So Hubby and I worked on a way to display them that would show the diversity of the crosses. I’m not a good photographer but hopefully you can see the various types of crosses. There’s also a dish from Mexico showing a village with a church. The second plaque is from Mexico also. I found that at the Goodwill store. It features a church on a mountain side. I really like the colors.framed cross

We decided to put the framed cross in the center. This was purchased from a store. No one can read the writing in the center around the cross. But the red is lovely and contrasts the metal of the frame and cross so beautifully.

One of the crosses I purchased in Mexico is wooden and has symbols of nature along with a dove and a church. The path of the homes to the church touched me as well as the animals. I view this a portraying that all things are gifts from God. The bright colors make me smile.
