The Side Effects of Being Chronically Ill

My Mom wanted to take my family including Lady Ali’s fiance on a big vacation this summer. She’s going to be 79 this year and she’s starting to feel her age. She wanted to do something nice for us all while she is feeling able to do so. So after much discussion on where to go we were finally at the point of making a decision.

We knew we had to do something quickly because Lady Ali and Fiance will soon have new jobs and will be moving into their apartment. We’ve been talking on the phone, sharing websites of tours of the Grand Canyon, hotels in las vegas, beach resorts and more, and then I got this flare of the Myasthenia Gravis.

With the clock ticking and me not getting better we decided that it’s just not a good idea to plan on a vacation. I hope and pray that when we all are able to take time off we can go away somewhere together as a family.

That’s so sad that you weren’t able to complete plans for a vacation right now but hopefully the opportunity will present itself soon for your whole family to get together and have a great time together.

I’ve had MG for 22 years and really dislike the physical limitations I have with my recent flare up, too. When I travel, which I love to do, I make sure that my schedule allows for nap times, even if this has to extend my trip by a day or two.
