• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month

June 5th, 2008 by Connie Roberts

    MGFA
June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month. I have had MG for over 5 years now. This is a rare neuromuscular disease which is also an autoimnune disease. Please check out The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America for more information.

Also the Muscular Dystropy Association – MDA – has information and opens their clinics to people with MG. Remember to support them for all they do each Labor Day and throughout the year.

Contact me if you’d like information on a more personal level about MG. Just visit my contact page.

Thanks to this post, I am smarter today. I did not know about Myasthenia Gravis but I clicked on your link to it and found some other sites and am more knowledgeable about it now. I’m sorry you have this and hope some discovery will be made for the cure of MG.

@ Mary I’m hoping the same!

@ Sandy I’ll be writing a post to enter.

@ Lowell MG is a rare disease and is not known about by many. Glad I taught you something ;)

MDA is really a dreadful disease. Most of the health bloggers don’t know about this disease. Really you’re having varied subjects to cover in your blog. I love your blog like anything that’s why I bookmarked you…:)

      You mention:

“This is a rare neuromuscular disease which is also an autoimnune disease.”

Wouldn’t it be more correct to say:

“It is autoimmune disease, affecting neuromuscular system”?
