Kansas Daughter Doing Well
June 3rd, 2008 by Connie Roberts
Lady Ali is doing quite well after her move to Kansas. She’s been accepted into Grad school where she’ll be pursuing her Masters in Library Science. She’s found an apartment that has a lot of amenities like an indoor pool, which I’m sure in the winter she’ll be happy to have, especially after living in Florida most of her life. She and Fiance will be moving in about two weeks. It’s about half the cost of their apartment in Florida.
She’s been on a job search which usually takes her all of about two or three days. I guess with the economy being so bad though it is taking her a lot longer to find anything. She’s been on interviews, taking tests and filling out applications online and in person, calling and emailing job leads and handing out resumes like crazy.
She’s been a bit frustrated with things and even a bit anxious. I’ve been telling her that it’s difficult to find work all over it doesn’t matter if it’s Boston jobs or Kansas jobs. Work is hard to come by.
Today though, things started to change for her. She had an interview that went well at a bank and then got two call backs from applications she filled out. When I spoke to her today her mood was a lot brighter. I’m praying that something comes through for her quickly.

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

Jobs really do seem to be a commodity lately no matter where you live. Best of luck to Lady Ali in search, I’m sure she’ll find something great soon!
