I Was Supposed To….

I woke up late today so I didn’t get a chance to shower yet. Don’t get all grossed out. I took a shower yesterday and I’ll be taking another one as soon as I finish this post. I planned on getting some work done on our website, paying bills and maybe even doing some laundry.

Instead I did one load of laundry and moved piles of papers from one place in my house to another. I got online and then got a phone call. Then my Mom dropped by. Then I got another phone call. I need to finish my lunch quick (breaking my rule about eating at the desk), take a shower, pick up Peanut from school and then take Little Bit to the vet.

It will probably be another late night for me again. I know it’s bad for me but I can’t sleep knowing that I have things to do any way. So I sit up late and work on them. Crud, I just realized I didn’t pay those bills and I forgot to buy my Mom’s Mother’s Day present.

  1. I can’t stand it when I get up in the morning with all these great plans to get things done and then I sit down at the computer and before I know it the day is gone and I’ve gotten absolutely nothing done that I was going to do! It’s so easy to get distracted and so hard to stay on track sometimes!

Come to think of it, I need to get my mom a Mother’s Day present, too! Augh!

  2. Ah, don’t you just hate it when you have a list of things to do and then get derailed? For me, whenever that happens, I have a tendency to forget to return to the planned items which results in them getting put off even longer.

  3. Moving piles of paper. Getting sidetracked. Sounds so familiar! Bought myself a shirt that says, “I can’t brain today. I have the dumb.” I’m living proof that lupus causes brain damage.

  4. Ugh! I have days like that too! It’s so frustrating when I have my day all set out but then nothing goes to plan.

My problem is that I get stuck behind the computer or I get unexpected guests.
