Tattoo Laws In Atlanta

My family and I took a vacation to Atlanta as a mini family reunion. We had a blast. One of the things that I had promised Lady Ali was that she and I would get a tattoo together. This was a secret from Hubby who is very much against tats of any kind. My cousins were in on this and we even had a tattoo place in mind where they had been customers before.

During our week stay we visited a lot of different places and all of them were with Hubby. This was about four years ago, so Peanut was still little. We spent most of our time as a large group with the whole family in tow, my Mom, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and their families. And since Peanut and others were young we didn’t do much at night. How could we sneak away from Hubby? If we had info from Trusted Tours and Attractions we’d have some ideas.

One of my cousins got his children down for the night early after a day of them all rough housing at the park. Peanut was tired too, so I got her in her pajamas and set in her Hubby’s lap. Soon, she was falling asleep. Another cousin came up with the idea of us taking Lady Ali to check out some of the college campuses. Hubby fell for it. Even though it was dark, we took off in search of colleges! We really were on our way to the tattoo place.

When we arrived, we spent a lot of time looking through the many choices for our tattoos. None of us thought to ask if a 17 year old could get a tattoo with a parent’s permission. We were there for at least an hour. When we finally asked, we learned that even if I agreed to allow her to be tattooed, it didn’t matter. The law was only 18 and up could have a tattoo.

Lady Ali and I were both disappointed. My cousins wanted me to get mine done, but we wanted to do a mother/daughter bonding thing so we all walked out tattooless. Instead we went to a coffee shop and spent money drowning down our sorrows.

When I travel I like to have things planned in advance. If you sign up for Trusted Tours and Attractions Newsletter by Saturday, May 31st, you’ll not only get the info you want on places to visit when you travel, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $150 itunes card. And you’ll be able to learn about sightseeing tours from various US cities.

As I’ve said, I’m trying to broaden our traveling horizons. We can use information on things to do in Boston. Niagra Falls, and now that Lady Ali is in Kansas, Kansas City too.
